Generations of Stamford, Connecticut residents have attended Dolan Middle School since it was founded in 1948.

This series of photographs were taken on April 28, 1952 and provide Stamford residents with a glimpse of what Dolan Middle School looked like just four years after construction.

All images of Dolan Middle School comes from the Gottscho-Schleisner Collection of photographs produced by Samuel H. Gottscho and William H. Schleisner. Some of the negatives used to create these images were of poor quality, but we enhanced each picture to provide readers a better look at how Dolan Middle School looked in the 1950’s.
